Laboratory

Central Research Laboratory was established with the valuable support of the Turkish Republic Ministry of Development in the year 2010. This laboratory, which operates within the School of Conservation and Restoration of Movable Cultural Heritage, meets the demands of analysis from public institutions and the private sector in the field of material characterization with experts from different disciplines and a wide device track including advanced analysis methods. In particular, material analyzes are carried out for the conservation and restoration of cultural assests and works of art, and other analysis and research requests are also met. The analysis and instruments used in the Central Research Laboratory, which consists of Chemistry, Mechanics, Wood, Petrography, X-Ray, Electron Microscopy, Spectroscopy, Chromatography and Mobile laboratories, are described below.
